This company is nothing but a bunch of lying, stealing, crooks. They lie and tell you anything they think you want to hear, just a sign on with them to advertise !

Everything they promised to do for me.

They did not do. They also promised that there would be a constant presence on the Google listing. Which was a big lie. !

Search after search never revealed a listing on Google, as they promised. They just make an ad for you on their website, and rotate it on their website only! No customers have access to their website unless they do a specific search for dex media. This company has never been a good company.

That's why they changed their name so many times. Likely to dodge lawsuits. Do not under any circumstances advertise with them. Spend your money somewhere else, the results will be a hundred times better.

Also, if someone did advertise with them, they assign a phone number, that is not yours.

So they can listen in on conversations, and track the calls from the ads. Without your permission, they do this. I was pretty irate when I found out they did that. This company needs to be sued big time, and put out a business.

They are nothing but cheats, and liars. There are true representation of the *** of the Earth!!!

I can not get away from this company. If there is a class action suit against them I definitely want in on it. Dex yp, Thryv Dex Media are all the same place apparently and the biggest rip off I have ever dealt with.

I called Dex advertising to have the white and yellow page content of our listing corrected. The individual I spoke with took my info and told me they would not only help me correct the incorrect listing in the upcoming phone book soon to be released but sold me on upgrading my listing and paying for advertising through them.

When the new phone book came out a few months later and I looked through it for the corrections I could see the corrections had never been made and info listed was more incorrect than in the prior years phone book. I called Dex Advertising for a second time and the salesperson I spoke with told me they actually don't handle the paper phone book listing but only online listings.

She said the gentlemen who sold me my advertising package and was suppose to be helping me with my concerns sold me a package for an online listing only. She stated that since she could see my company was getting results from the online listing they would not fix anything for me. She also let me know if I wanted my listing updated in the paper phone book it was an entirely different company all together that handles that and is no associated with Dex.

This is my 23rd year as a business owner and was very clear with my salesperson.

Talk about being ripped off! I would not suggest this company for advertising needs.

You may not get what you asked for and may never know it until its too late. What a joke!

These people are nothing short of incompetent. I was contacted about renewing my yellow pages advertisement.

I told the salesman that their book was ineffective and I was going to go elsewhere. They admitted that phone book usage has been on the decline for several years now because of internet and cell phone searches but they had a program called "Thrive" that combines yellow pages and internet advertising so I gave it a try. I am a commercial refrigeration service contractor and after setting up my site, I found they placed me in appliance repair and they had no classification for what I do. Now I get calls for repairing dishwashers and microwave ovens but nothing for the work I do.

I not only do not get calls from their useless phone book but I have to waste my time apologizing to people calling for services I do not provide.

To call these people crooks and idiots would be giving them more credit then they deserve! I cannot even give them a rating because they are below anything I could think of!
